Tournament Types

VBET offers players a variety of poker tournament types, including Multi Table Tournaments (MTT), Sit & Go, Spin & Go, and Mystery Bounty tournaments for additional winning opportunities. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, you'll find a tournament format that suits your playing style.

MTT

There are several main types of MTTs, where the game takes place simultaneously on multiple tables.

R+A (Rebuy + Add-On) MTTs allow players to make rebuys and add-ons during the tournament. Typically, players can make multiple or unlimited rebuys during the tournament.

Freezeout – In this format, players are eliminated from the tournament until only one player remains with all the chips. Additionally, rebuys and add-ons are not allowed. In a Freezeout, once a player runs out of chips, they are out of the tournament.

Freeroll – This is a bonus-type tournament where players do not pay entry fees. Freerolls can be of the R+A type, meaning players can rebuy and add chips during a specified period, or of the Freezeout type, where players cannot add more chips once they lose their stack.

Re-entry – In this format, players can re-enter the tournament after being eliminated, if they left the game before the specified time of the tournament. The re-entry period and the number of allowed re-entries are indicated in the given tournament’s lobby section.

Knockout – In this format, the prize fund is split into two parts: one portion is allocated to the guaranteed prize fund, and the other is a variable prize fund. This variable fund is distributed among players based on a predefined buy-in structure, which is awarded for each opponent a player eliminates from the game, even before the tournament concludes.

Phased – This type of tournament has multiple entry days. Each starting phase continues for several blind levels, after which all remaining players qualify for the next or final phase of the tournament.

Spin&Go

Try Your Luck In a Fast Poker Tournament

Spin & Go Poker is a 3-Max Hyper-Turbo Sit & Go fast tournament format that gives players a chance to win a randomly generated prize, in the form of a bonus, based on their buy-in and a corresponding multiplier.
Each Spin & Go tournament begins once three players have joined the table.

Mystery Bounty

Mystery Bounty

Mystery Bounty – In this format, when a player eliminates one or more opponents from the tournament, they randomly win one or more portions of the Mystery Bounty prize fund, depending on the number of players they eliminate. The prize amount in the Mystery Bounty phase is randomly determined from the Mystery Bounty prize fund.

BACKGAMMON

11424-group-1171274950-17464509444311.png

Game Types

LONG BACKGAMMON – Each player has 15 checkers of the same color (black or white). At the start of the game, all 15 checkers are placed on the 24th point, while for the opponent’s are on the 12th point—so-called "head." The objective of the game is to move all checkers into the home board and bear them off before the opponent does. To begin the game, each player rolls one die. This determines which player makes the first move and with what score. If both players roll the same number on their dice, they continue rolling until the numbers differ.

SHORT BACKGAMMON - Played by 2 players on a game board consisting of 24 points. The objective of the game is to move all of one's checkers into the home board and then bear them off the board. The player who first removes all their checkers from the board wins the game.

NACKGAMMON - This variation follows all the standard backgammon rules. The only difference between Nackgammon and short backgammon is the initial setup. In Nackgammon, on the 6th and 13th points, where there are five checkers in standard backgammon, one checker is removed. Additionally, a new setup is introduced with two checkers on the 23rd point, and one checker is removed from both the 12th and 17th points, with two checkers added on the 2nd point.

ASIAN - This game is played by two players on a backgammon board of 24 points. The triangles are arranged in order by color across the four quadrants of the board, with each quadrant containing six points. The points are numbered separately for each player, with the numbering starting from each player's home board. The furthest point is 24th, which is also the opponent’s first point.

HYPER BACKGAMMON - In Hyper Backgammon, all the standard rules of Short Backgammon apply without exception. The key difference is that each player starts with only three checkers. The initial setup in Hyper Backgammon is as follows: one checker on each of the 24th, 23rd, and 22nd points. The opponent mirrors this with one checker each on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd points.

TAPA BACKGAMMON - This is a two-player game played on a backgammon board divided into four quadrants, each containing six points marked with colored triangles. Each player has 15 checkers, initially placed on the 24th point (or the 1st point for the opponent). The objective is to move all checkers counterclockwise from the opponent’s home board to one’s own home board and then bear them off the board.

KHACHAPURI - In the Khachapuri variant of backgammon, the winner’s points are calculated based on the number of checkers the opponent still has left on the board. For example, if the white player bears off all of their checkers while the black player still has 7 checkers left on the board, the white player wins 7 points. If the black player has not borne off even a single checker, they lose by Mars, which is worth 30 points (15 checkers × 2 = 30).
