SIMPLE BELOTE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This version of Belote is a game for two, which is played with 24 cards from nine to Ace. The Players participate in a certain pre-planned number of games or games with certain scores with a pre-defined prize unit. E.g. the Player who wins 3 games first or is the first to collect 101 points receives the sum paid by the Players before the game as an entry fee (except for the rake).
Collect the border point first՝ (501 (51), 1001 (101) or 2001 (201)) or win a defined number of games (1, 3 or 5)։
- First, the dealer is decided by the system randomly. Each Player is given 6 cards, after which an open card is offered to the other Player as a trump card.
- The game begins by the dealer’s opponent.
- If the first Player chooses the offered card, he/she is given 2 additional cards, and the opponent is given 3 additional cards.
- If the Player does not choose the offered card, the opponent can choose it; in that case the first Player is given 3 cards, and the opponent is given 2 more cards.
- If both Players do not choose the offered trump card the first Player can choose another trump card, meanwhile he/she can choose whether to take the offered trump card or not.
- If both Players do not choose the offered trump card and the first Player has not chosen another card, the second Player is obliged to choose another trump card, but he/she can choose whether to take the offered card or not.
- If the offered trump card is a Jack, the first Player can choose it or not, but if the first Player does not choose it, the second Player is obliged to choose it (in case of a Jack no other trump card is offered).
- Regardless of who chooses a trump card, the dealer’s opponent makes the move. The opponent should make a move with a similar card, if there is one, and if not, with a trump card. If there are no similar cards or trump cards, the Player can make a move with any other card. If the played card is a trump card and there is a higher trump card, it is necessary to cover it with that, and if it is lower, it is possible to make a move with any trump card.
- In the first hand, the Player can announce a combination except for Belote. In order to announce combinations, it is necessary to use F2 button or the Menu. If the combination is not announced, it is not counted. The announced combinations must be shown in the second hand. To show the combinations, the Player can use the F4 button or the Menu. If the opponent does not show a stronger combination, the Player shows his/her combination and it gets counted.
- When the Player presses F8, he/she confirms giving all the rest of the cards to the opponent.

Having more cards in the combination makes the combination stronger (maximum five cards). The higher the last card of the combination is, the higher the whole combination is. In case of having the same combination with the same high card, the priority gives either to the combination with trump cards or to the player who announces his/her combination first.
Before making a move, the owner of the combination should declare it in order to get it considered. After the first move, no other announcements will be valid. The points of Belote combination are counted automatically, regardless of the game flow.
- The sum of all the card points is 162 (16).
- The point calculation is done after the end of each round.
- After playing the last hand, the points of the cards are being calculated by the system automatically by adding also the points of the combinations.
- The player who takes the last hand receives 10 points.
- The points of each Player are added to the points collected during the previous games and registered in the table (each line of the table shows the result of the current game after each round).
- The winner is being determined according to the sum of the points collected from the cards and combinations. If the Player has taken a trump card and hasn’t collected more points than his/her opponent, the points of the cards and combinations move to the opponent, and the given player loses. If the Player hasn’t taken any points, the situation is called “Kaput”, 21 points are added to the opponent’s score.
If the Player who takes the trump card has more points than the opponent, he/she is considered the winner of the game in that round, and the calculation is done in the following way: the points taken from the opponent’s card are subtracted from the 162 total points (without combinations) and the difference is written in the score (if there were combinations, there are also counted).
